How to Play R-live Hold’em
The purpose of R-Live Hold’em is to create the best five-card poker hand using a combination of Hole and Community cards same as Texas Hold’em Poker.
Each player in the R-Live Hold’em game receives two-hole cards and five community cards called Flop, Turn and River which are dealt face-up, to form the board.
All players in the game use these shared community cards in conjunction with their own hole cards to each make their best possible five-card poker hand.
◆ First Betting Round: Preflop
◦ Once the hole cards are dealt, each player looks at their respective cards.
◦ In Hold'em, as with other forms of poker, the available actions are ‘fold’, ‘check’, ‘bet’, ‘call’, ‘raise’ or ‘all-in’.
- FOLD: to discard your hand and forfeit the current pot.
- CHECK: betting zero. Players may not check on the pre-flop round because they must either match (or raise) the big blind or fold.
- CALL: to match a bet.
- BET: the opening bet of a betting round.
- RAISE: to increase the size of the current bet.
- ALL-IN: put all chips into the pot.
◆ Second Betting Round: Flop
◦ The dealer then deals three cards face up. This is called the “Flop”
◦ These are the first three of the five community cards that all players can use, along with their hole cards, to make the best possible poker hand.
◦ Starting with flop betting, all bets are made from SB. However, if SB is in the Fold state or out of the table, the bet will proceed in the next player order. If the next player is also unable to proceed with the bet, the first bet will be made from the player who can bet.
1) CHECK: without betting anything 2) BET, 3) FOLD or 4) ALL-IN
◆ Third Betting Round: Turn
◦ The fourth community card, called a turn, follows all the betting actions in the flop.
◦ A “Turn” betting round occurs when the turn card is opened.
◦ Once more, players have the options to check, bet, call, fold, raise or all-in.
◆ Final Betting Round: River
◦ The fifth community card, called a river, is dealt following all the betting action in the turn.
◦ When the River card is opened, the final “River” betting round takes place.
◦ Once more the remaining players have the options to check, bet, call, fold, raise or all-in.
◦ After all betting action has been completed, the remaining players in the hand with hole cards now expose their holdings to determine a winner.
