Straight Flush

Five consecutive cards of the same suit like 9♥8♥7♥6♥5♥, then you have a straight flush.

Four of a kindFour of a kind consists of four cards of the same value, such as A♠A♦A♣A♥5♦ then you have quads!

Full House

Also known as a “boat,” it’s when you have three of a kind along with a pair - for example: K♦K♥ K♣6♠6♦ (three of one, two of the other)

FlushThere are four suits in poker (diamonds, hearts, spades, and clubs). When you have five cards all in the same suit and not in a sequence, you have a flush. An example might be Q♣10♣9♣6♣3♣.

StraightFive consecutive cards of differing suits, like 9♣8♥7♠6♦5♥ is straight. An A-2-3-4-5 straight is known as a “wheel,” while 10-J-Q-K-A is called “Broadway”.

Three of a kindWhenever you have three of the same cards (i.e. A♣A♦A♥9♣7♣) you have three-of-a-kind. If the combination is made with a pocket pair and one community card, it is called a "set". If the player only uses one hole card and two community cards, the hand is known as "trips".

Two PairIs when you have not one, but two pairs. The fifth card is your kicker. For instance, if you have A♣A♦K♥K♣7♣ you have Aces and Kings with a 7 kicker.

One PairWhen you have two cards of the same rank and the remaining three cards of different ranks, it's called a pair. (i.e. K♣K♦Q♦9♣8♥)

High Card

If none of the other mentioned hands can be formed, it comes down to your high card(s). (i.e. Q♥9♣7♠4♥2♦)
